Quick Reference: Dictation by Phone

Step 1 : Call 1 - 888 -
Step 2 : Input your Access Code ___, then press #.
Step 3 : Follow the Dictation Menus given.
Step 4 : Main Menu
Press 1 = For a NEW Dictation
Press 2 = To open a SAVED Dictation

Step 5 : Dictation Menu
Press 9 = To START Recording
Press 0 = To STOP

To REVIEW / LISTEN to your Dictation,
Press 1 = To go to the Beginning of your dictation
Press 3 = To go to the End
Press 4 = To Rewind
Press 6 = To Fast Forward
Press 7 = To Play
When you are FINISHED with your dictation, and are READY to send it, press * (star key - if this is not pressed, the system will not be able to save your dictation).

Step 6 :
Submission Menu
Press 1 = to SEND (the system will give you a Reference Number for the file sent)
Press 2 = to SAVE (then continue and send later)


Remember: Multiple dictations need to be submitted separately; by pressing SEND after each.

Q: Is it possible to call and dictate from a mobile phone?
A: Yes.

Q: How do I stop my dictation first, and continue later?
A: This can be done by the following commands from the menus-

Dictation Menu: press * to signal you are finished
Processing Menu: press 2 to save the dictation. Hang up.

When you are ready to continue,
Main Menu: press 2 to open your saved dictation
Dictation Menu: press 7 to play your dictation, then press 9 to start recording again
Follow the menus given.

Q: If I have corrections to a sent dictation, how do I correct it?
A: You have 2 options:
1. Repeat the dictation.
2. Dictation a new dictation and make reference to the patient data of the previous correction; then state the corrections to be made.

However, please note that corrections made will follow the turnaround time of a new report.
